No that’s not a typo, it’s not a purring cat and it’s not a little bear cub either! This bear is very much adult, full-grown and loves its human friend so much, it purrs when it cuddles with the guy. Wild animal or not, this is unbelievable and we couldn’t wait to share it with you all. But don’t misunderstand this story because this by no means a common thing, if you see a polar bear, you better run, brother! Mark Dumas and Agee, the cuddly, purring adult polar bear
Mark Dumas, not related to Alexandre (the writer of The Three Musketeers) in any way, works as an animal trainer for the movie industry and he is very good at his job. One day they asked him to train an 8-week old bear cub to appear in movies. The cub’s mother was very old and unable to care for young Agee. So Mark took her in and fast-forward to her adulthood, now Agee loves Mark so much she purrs and cuddles the man. But if somebody other than his wife Dawn comes close to Mark, Agee might get so angry she will attack. Indeed the now grown-up bear gets jealous and as Mark says she is very possessive of him, but at least she leaves Dawn alone.
This is the only polar bear in the world that cuddles and purrs with a human
This is no common thing because their relationship is apparently the only one in the world of this kind. Polar bears don’t like humans and they will very much attack us if we step into their territory. That fact makes this story even more amazing because Agee does look quite intimidating, even the reporter is scared. The reporter hears the purring sound and she thinks it’s some distant rumbling engine.
