I guess the apple doesn’t fall that far from the tree. In this case, it sounds just like the tree… wait, what? Anyway, Willie Nelson is a living legend! His musical legacy extends for more than half a century. But that is not the only thing he has given us. When you hear his son Lukas Nelson, you will be floored and Willie will be too. The guy sounds just like his dad. In this video he performs “You Were Always On My Mind” and it is just stunning.
This is not a one-off, or a random karaoke performance, of course. With those singing talents galore, he is a part of the band Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real. The man sings beautifully and you deserve to hear it.
Lukas Nelson continues Willie Nelson’s musical talent and legacy
Oh wow! We love it when some mostly obscure celebrity kid suddenly blows up on the internet. Would we have any of this without YouTube or the internet? Who knows. But when we heard Lukas Nelson’s voice while covering one of his father’s biggest hits of all time. When Lukas opened his mouth and uttered the first words to “You Were Always On My Mind” we were as stunned as his audience at this small performance. And those pipes are definitely inherited, the kid can sing and he is a star in the making. Check out the video below and if you need to hear them sing together, just click here.
