Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young… and Jones

Crosby, Stills and Nash was a super-group before Neil Young joined. Adding a voice like Tom Jones on top of it?! Are they trying to rip the space-time continuum or something?! This version of “Long Time Gone” certainly might!

Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young and Tom Jones were a one time only super-group

Crosby, Stills and Nash get a fourth member: Neil Young

This killer three-member combination formed in 1968 when a member of The Byrds, another one from Buffalo Springfield and a third one from The Hollies left their bands and joined in this one super band to rule all the bands. David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash had an informal gig where they dicovered they harmonized well together.

They formed their band and Mr Neil Young of Canada joined them after their first album. Young had played with Stephen Stills in Buffalo Springfield before. They released eight studio albums and four live albums and the band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.

This Is Tom Jones

Now we all know Tom Jones from hits such as “What’s New Pussycat”, “Delilah” and “Sex Bomb”, Right? But did you know he had his own TV show from 1969 to 1971? It was a variety show playing host to some amazing artists such as Nancy Sinatra, Janis Joplin and Ella Fitzgerald. The epic duet with Stevie Wonder is a definite must-see as well as this Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young one.

Our favorite super group (well, second favorite after Cream) showed up in the fourth episode of the second season in 1969. Peggy Lipton and Anthony Newley also made an appearance as well as John Byner.

Absolutely, positively, unbelievably astonishing!
