These Japan soccer players are good on and off the pitch. They made the dressing room spotless and left some complimentary origami too!

Japan soccer team cleans and leaves a wonderful message after beating Germany at the World Cup

Japanese soccer team stuns Germany at World Cup

The Japanese team were ready and started their World Cup with a huge win over the big favorite Germany. The German team is full of superstars like Gündoğan, Neuer, Rüdiger, Kimmich, Müller and the supremely talented Havertz, Gnabry, Sane and Musiala. The Japanese only have a handful of players in the top leagues of Europe. The most famous players from Japan are Tomiyasu, Asano and Minamino. The game started off with a goal for Germany but the Japanese team never gave up. Perseverance and belief changed the game in the second half and they were back in it. The Japanese manager changed a few players and one of them, Takuma Asano completely changed the game, scoring the winning goal himself. Within 8 minutes the Japanese changed the result to 2-1 and Germany had no answer to their onslaught. Ultimately the Japanese soccer team won the game. What an upset!

Japan team are a class act on and off the pitch

You’d be forgiven for thinking they got carried away with celebrations after winning this David vs Goliath game and left a mess behind them. But that is not how the Japanese people do things because Japanese players are not only classy on the football pitch, but off it as well. They cleaned the dressing room and left nothing behind. Dudes even folded their towels and put them next to the table. The players also left water bottles and food containers neatly piled on the table. To earn the respect of the whole world the players beat Germany and even left a bunch of origami cranes on the table. This is no random gesture either. Paper cranes are a symbol of good fortune and longevity.

The dressing rooms at the Khalifa International Stadium never looked so clean before because, just to be clear, cleaning up after yourselves is not really in the football etiquette. That’s the job of the stadium staff but we can all take a leaf of the Japan soccer team manner book. Their fans certainly did so.

Japan soccer fans contribute too

This is nothing new for the National Japanese Football Team because when they attended the previous World Cup in Russia in 2018, despite their misfortune on the pitch, their dressing room was again spotless. They even left a note saying “Thank You” in Russian so a class act for sure. The Japan soccer players weren’t the only ones cleaning up after themselves at the World Cup because their fans who passionately support them during the games also clean up after themselves. They left such a good impression so the other fans started doing it too! What a nation, Japan!
